Any time you dive a site located 1,000 ft or higher above sea level, you are altitude diving.

 

Pacific Ocean Water Sports is located within 3-4 hrs driving distance from Lake Tahoe -one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the world and the site where we train for altitude diving certifications.

 

Course goal: you will learn to plan, adjust and execute a safe altitude dive.

 

Students shall be able to adjust their dive plan to offset for the reduce ambient pressure at altitude while taking additional precautions to prevent dive problems at altitude levels.

 

Equipment required: although not required, it is highly recommended that you learn to dive with a dry suit whenever you conduct altitude dives in cold weather conditions.

 

Schedule: The training includes a 2-hour theory session combined with 2 altitude dives. This certification is highly customizable to fit the student’s lifestyle and the training completion requires that participants visit an altitude dive site that has lakes.
