Millions of people have become Open Water SCUBA certified to safely explore the depths of our oceans.
This certification is your first step in your personal journey towards becoming a safe SCUBA diver.
You must be at least 10 years old and fit to dive – in some cases we may ask you to provide a medical form signed by your doctor stating that you are fit to dive.
Course goal: upon successful completion of the Zoom theory sessions, the pool sessions and the ocean examinations you will become an Open Water SCUBA Diver.
Equipment required: the rental of all the SCUBA hard gear (BCD, regulators, dive computer, weights, tanks, and air fills) is included during the length of the class.
Each student is required to buy his/her own SCUBA soft gear — the personal gear package that includes mask, fins, snorkel, gloves, boots, hood.
The price shown in this post is subject to students purchasing their soft gear package at our dive center.
Wet suits – 7mm neoprene minimum requirement for cold water diving, buy or rent for the class. Come by the store to learn all the details!
Dry Suit: for an added fee we will certify you using dry suits and include the Drysuit certification too.
Schedule: we have a monthly class scheduled on a variable schedule, including two theory sessions (total of 6 hours), two pool sessions (total of 8 hours), and two days in the ocean with your instructor.
- Instructor fees
- Dive center fees (facilities fees, overhead, equipment fees)
- 8 hours of pool time (minimum pool time)
